Respiratory Therapist

Job Opportunity
We are seeking qualified individuals for a critical care position that offers variable shifts, including both day and night schedules. This role requires flexibility in accommodating shifts, working every other or every third weekend, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Work Schedule
- Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
Required Qualifications
- California Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Experience with EPIC charting system (minimum 2 years)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a critical care setting
- Travel experience is required
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in adult critical care techniques
- Experience with trach management and emergency response procedures
- Ability to administer and troubleshoot various respiratory treatments
- Competence in conducting arterial punctures and interpreting arterial blood gases
- Capacity to assist in high-risk deliveries and manage intubation
Patient Care and Facility Details
- Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily patient census and visits typical for critical care
- Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, social services, and pharmacy
- Specialized equipment includes Drager, V60, Airvo, SiPaP, and Nihon Kohden
Compliance and Onboarding
- All candidates must provide a 7-year work history verification
- Candidates should be prepared to complete necessary compliance documents within the set deadlines
- Orientation and training modules will be conducted prior to beginning the role
Location
This position is located in a healthcare facility in the state of California.
