About the Role:

Join The Gentle Dentist team as a Hygiene Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. We're looking for passionate individuals who thrive on helping others and are eager to contribute to our patients' smiles!

Responsibilities:

Assist hygienists in providing high-quality dental cleanings and treatments.

Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to safety protocols.

Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories.

Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care techniques.

Ensure the hygiene area is clean and organized for optimal efficiency.

Support the front office with scheduling and patient check-in as needed.

Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and understanding.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred.

Certification: Current Pennsylvania X-ray Certification is highly preferred.

Previous experience in a dental office or related field is a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor.

Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Current CPR certification is preferred.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices.
