Product Manager (Technical)

Go Icon powers resident and family engagement for senior living communities through communications, digital signage, activity management, transportation, and AI-driven insights for some of the largest operators in the industry. We are investing heavily in enterprise reporting, integrations, and platform capabilities, and we are looking for a Product Manager (Technical) to lead this work. This role reports directly to the Director of Product. Position Overview: This is a highly hands-on role focused on enterprise reporting, Power BI development, integrations, and customer-facing technical solutioning. We are not looking for someone who only gathers requirements and hands them off to engineering. We are looking for someone who can actively build reports and dashboards inside Power BI, work directly with customers to understand operational and reporting needs, and bridge the gap between customer workflows, backend data structures, ETL pipelines, Redshift, APIs, integrations, and the Power BI visual layer. Over time, this role will also take ownership of customer integrations, including API and SFTP-based integrations, working directly with customers and internal engineering teams to design, coordinate, validate, and manage implementation efforts. The ideal candidate is technically fluent, customer-facing, detail-oriented, and comfortable moving between discovery, data analysis, dashboard development, technical documentation, integration management, and project execution. Your Impact – Responsibilities: Own the enterprise reporting product end-to-end, including hands-on creation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, visuals, and enterprise reporting experiences for customers. Build reports directly inside Power BI, including dashboards, drill-down experiences, KPI visualizations, filters, exports, row-level security, and performance optimization. Work directly with enterprise customers to understand reporting requirements, operational workflows, business rules, and integration needs. Lead customer-facing working sessions to map customer data structures and workflows into Go Icon’s platform and reporting model. Partner with customers and internal engineering teams to identify data gaps, transformation requirements, ETL dependencies, integration requirements, and edge cases before development begins. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure Redshift, ETL pipelines, APIs, integrations, and Power BI models align correctly and perform efficiently. Understand and validate backend data structures, query logic, DAX calculations, and reporting relationships to ensure reporting accuracy and scalability. Eventually own customer integration initiatives, including API and SFTP integrations, from discovery through implementation and customer go-live. Coordinate integration workflows between customer IT teams, third-party vendors, and internal engineering teams. Help define and validate schema mapping, transformation logic, authentication requirements, data flow expectations, and integration edge cases. Write clear product specifications, reporting requirements, integration documentation, and customer-facing technical guides. Project manage integration and reporting deliverables across onshore and offshore engineering teams, driving timelines, accountability, dependencies, and customer communication through go-live. Collaborate with the Director of Product on roadmap planning, prioritization, customer commitments, and enterprise solution strategy. Build functional prototypes and validate ideas using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development tools. Qualifications 4 to 5+ years of product management experience, ideally within a SaaS or growth-stage technology company. Strong hands-on Power BI experience is required. You must be comfortable personally building reports and dashboards, not just defining requirements. Deep understanding of DAX, Power BI data modeling, relationships, row-level security, calculated measures, query optimization, and dashboard performance tuning. Experience working with Redshift, ETL pipelines, SQL queries, and data warehouse concepts. Strong understanding of how backend databases, ETL processes, APIs, SFTP workflows, and Power BI reporting layers interact together. Experience working directly with customers in a technical and consultative capacity. Ability to lead customer conversations around reporting requirements, integrations, workflows, and operational use cases. Experience owning reporting or analytics products, including custom reporting, scheduled exports, enterprise dashboards, filtering experiences, and role-based access controls. Demonstrated experience with integrations or API-driven products, including schema mapping, authentication, rate limiting, webhooks, file-based integrations, and third-party system coordination. Strong project management and organizational skills, especially across distributed and offshore engineering teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools for prototyping and workflow acceleration. Comfortable working in terminal environments, reviewing code, and writing SQL. Engineering background or computer science degree strongly preferred. Previous engineering or technical implementation experience is a plus. Preferred Experience Senior living, healthcare, or multi-tenant SaaS platforms. Experience with modern BI architecture, enterprise reporting systems, or large-scale analytics platforms. Experience with Redshift, Power BI DirectQuery models, enterprise-scale reporting optimization, or customer-facing integration implementations.
