Head of Operations

Taft Brown Associates has partnered with a growing behavioral health organization on a search for a Head of Operations. This is a great opportunity with a great organization. Summary As Head of Operations, you will be tasked with owning the division’s P&L, optimizing existing locations, as well as executing the growth strategy, which includes de novo growth and potentially M&A. The key areas of responsibilities include Lead and engage staff, therapists, counselors, , clinical and medical directors ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. Drive census through deep collaboration with the marketing, business development functions and creative local initiatives with the communities where each site resides to serve our mission and fill capacity Lead, coach, develop, and supervise outstanding performance of the organization's leadership team and team members to deliver growth, career progression, and achieve the established objectives and policies Participate as an active member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and participate in quarterly Board Meetings as appropriate Partner with the other division leaders and functional leaders to optimize operational performance and encourage shared learnings and growth across the organization Design, implement, and evaluate treatment programs and service delivery models Ensure all operations meet state and federal healthcare regulations Develop department budgets in collaboration with the finance team, refine staffing models, and establish productivity, utilization, and performance targets Review, manage, and drive the division through a set of operational KPIs Conduct reviews of the operational KPIs with functional leaders and set action plans for improving Lead and manage in accordance with organization policies, Bylaws, stated mission and values Guide and direct the staff in the development and review of a strategic plan which establishes clear goals and plans that guide the program objectives and organizational policies Assess new opportunities for de novo sites and services and further refine our de novo playbook for selecting and opening new sites and programs Work with HR to develop policies and procedures designed to produce a healthy, positive working environment that contributes to ever-improving levels of team member morale and job performance Collaborate with our payer and UR teams to establish strong and effective working relationships with payors, regulatory bodies, funding sources, referral sources, other service providers, and professional organizations involved with or ancillary to the goals and services of the company Promote good interpersonal relationships and cooperation among staff, clients, sponsors, volunteers, and the communities we serve Experience and Qualifications Articulates and possesses a fundamental commitment to the provision of the highest quality of services to individuals with behavioral health challenges A minimum of 10 years of operations experience in an in network multi-site behavioral healthcare services business, preferably with experience overseeing residential and PHP / IOP care delivered onsite and virtually, with at least 5 years with a senior leadership role Possess a network of talent in the behavioral health space (for referrals, team expansion, business development relationships etc.) Quantifiable track record of successfully driving census growth and managing to KPIs with clinical outcomes and compliance as a priority Culturally savvy and able to build rapport with the incumbent team of clinical and operations resources Considerable knowledge of effective supervisory practices and quantifiable experience managing and growing a team Extensive business acumen with in-depth knowledge of financial drivers within a multi-site behavioral healthcare services environment Solid experience in environments with a continuous improvement and quality mindset, with regulatory oversight Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; focus on driving disciplined, fact-based decisions and executing with discipline and urgency Decisive leader adept at designing workflows and holding staff accountable to the performance metrics Commercially oriented strategic thinker who is willing to take initiative and a hands‑on approach, roll up his/her sleeves and get the job done in a lean organization Effective relationship‑building skills, ability to quickly command the respect and trust of all team members Recognized as someone that inspires and motivates team members by articulating direction, defining goals/objectives, and promoting an atmosphere of teamwork Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels Ability to handle multiple priorities in a time sensitive and dynamic environment Strong executive presence and board level credibility; able to appropriately challenge the leadership team and provide a valued point of view Experience driving de novo growth would be a plus Experience working in a business with private equity ownership and successfully completing an exit process would be a plus This is an onsite role so candidates must be able to commute daily #J-18808-Ljbffr
