Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are a growing company and searching for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide compassionate care to our residents. An active LVN license in the State of California is required. This role is for the PM shift which runs from 3:00pm to 11:30pm.ResponsibilitiesRecord a patient's medical history accuratelyTake and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.Monitor patients' condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient chartsAssist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasksCollect samples for lab testing as assignedProvide emotional and psychological support when neededCommunicate with patients' family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructionsRequirements and SkillsProven experience as LVN or similar roleAbility to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary teamFamiliarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and proceduresUnderstanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practicesExcellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminologyGood knowledge of MS Office and data entryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCompassionate and able to handle stressSuccessful completion of LVN license program is a must
