Job Title: Business Analyst with QA Experience
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Remote – Local Candidates Only; occasional onsite 1–2 days/month)
Job Type: Contract

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with QA experience to support application development and enhancement initiatives. This is a remote role; however, candidates must be local and available for occasional onsite visits.

This position plays a dual role, combining business analysis and quality assurance , including gathering requirements, collaborating with stakeholders and developers, and performing application testing, UAT, and post-deployment support.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and data requirements from stakeholders
• Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, functional specifications, and workflows
• Create diagrams such as process flows, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, swim lanes, and wireframes
• Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams
• Communicate requirements clearly to developers, QA teams, and stakeholders

Testing & QA

• Perform functional and regression testing
• Convert business requirements into detailed test cases
• Conduct application walkthroughs and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements

Implementation & Support

• Assist with application implementation and enhancements
• Create training materials and train end users
• Provide post-deployment support and troubleshooting
• Ensure alignment of delivered solutions with business goals

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in business analysis and QA/testing roles
• Proficiency in gathering and documenting requirements
• Experience creating diagrams and workflow documentation
• Ability to work independently and manage projects end-to-end
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working on complex projects with cross-functional teams

Technical Skills

• SharePoint Online (Office 365)
• Microsoft Teams
• GitLab or other Git repositories
• JIRA
• Balsamiq or similar design tools
• Microsoft Visio
