Position Summary Sam's Club #6378, 6363 Valley Springs Pkwy, Riverside, CA 92507-0905. Ref: R-2578918. Pay: $21.00 - $29.00/hr. Shifts may vary. What You'll Do Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices. Operate forklift following company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets. Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback. Receive stocks and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility by managing inventory flow; follow company policy and procedures for utilizing equipment appropriately; merchandise working inventory; correct shelf capacities; complete and retain required paperwork logs and other documentation. Provide member service by acknowledging the member, identifying member needs, providing guidance and support concerning self‑service technology, assisting members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services. Maintain safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following company steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to management. Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or outdated goods, setting up cleaning and organizing product displays, maintaining modular integrity; receive, sort, stage, and deliver merchandise; ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise; process defective merchandise in compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures for sanitation and food safety; monitor shrink, security risks, and safety. Ensure club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting with picking club pick‑up orders throughout the day and staging; ensuring products are selected and staged per company policy and procedures; ensuring merchandising associates pick orders within an acceptable timeframe; perform occasional audits for accuracy. Handle moves and display goods safely and correctly; track goods; maintain in‑stock levels; control shrinkage in a timely manner; report poor inventory practices and low in‑stock levels in the assigned area; use inventory tools and equipment safely and correctly. Operate and maintain forklifts safely and correctly; report poor or unsafe conditions and practices; inform management when forklifts are not operational. Proactively identify customers who need help, actively engage them, and assist with technology services and items; model and help others with technology services; identify shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas and take steps to fix them; properly maintain equipment and ensure products are organized and stocked correctly and promptly fix any problems.
