Patient Care Associate – Bigelow 9 General Medicine & Bigelow 13 RACU The Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists under the direction of a registered nurse in clinical support functions to promote a safe and conscientious patient care environment. Responsibilities include assisting patients with daily living needs, monitoring and reading vital signs, drawing blood, obtaining EKGs, responding to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and communicating respectfully. PCAs will float between the two units, Bigelow 9 General Medicine and Bigelow 13 RACU. Qualifications Must have recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care. Preferred: licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program at the time of hire. Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre‑Med, PA undergraduate program with at least one semester of patient‑care rotations completed at time of hire. Schedule Day (7am–3pm / 7am–7pm) Evening (3pm–11pm) Night (7pm–7am, 11pm–7am) Rotational holiday and weekend schedule Benefits Shift differential for evening, nights, and weekends.
