This is what has driven our team since 1833.Since that time, we have developed to become a critical partner in the global aviation industry, delivering time-critical logistics services at over 300 locations in 65 countries, across 6 continents.But at the heart of our business is our people.Role PurposeThe Ramp Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the unloading and loading of luggage, freight and cargo on and off commercial aircraft. The Ramp Supervisor will also drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles. This position will require heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching.What you will be doing:Supervise lead agents; allocating ramp agent resources as neededMove cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraftEnsure that ramp personnel adhere to established company safety regulationsPerform as a mentor to other employees and provide training to new employeesSome responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems as needed for violations of company policyComplete shift reports and sign timecardsAssist in the preparation of performance evaluation formsSafety, Security, Wellbeing and Compliance:You will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
