About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Jefferson, NC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care on an LDRP unit, supporting both laboring mothers and newborns throughout the care continuum
• Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
• Manage higher-acuity and high-risk obstetric cases with a strong degree of clinical autonomy in a small department setting
• Float as needed to MedSurg and other areas within the facility, including CNA, secretary, and helping hands roles
• Document patient care accurately using Centricity and Meditech Magic systems
• Adhere to weekend scheduling requirements as determined by departmental needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable for submission)
• Current ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, and BCLS certifications
• Proficiency in fetal heart monitoring
• Ability to work independently with a high level of clinical autonomy in a lower-volume, higher-acuity environment
• Willingness to float within and near the facility as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a combined LDRP setting providing both maternal and newborn care
• Familiarity with Centricity and/or Meditech Magic documentation systems
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
