Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: NC or Compact license pending is acceptable Certifications: ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, BCLS Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery - Strong experience in fetal heart monitoring - Ability to assist both mother and baby in an LDRP unit - Willingness to float to other areas as needed Description: The position requires a highly skilled registered nurse to provide care in a Labor and Delivery setting. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring fetal heart rates and assisting with labor and delivery processes. Candidates should have experience handling both high-risk and low-risk pregnancies. A strong foundation in nursing is required due to the autonomy needed in this unit. The unit experiences around 100 births annually, which presents both challenges and opportunities for professional growth. The ideal candidate must be willing to float to MedSurg or provide support in various roles as departmental needs arise. Weekend shifts are determined by departmental requirements and will be expected as part of the role. All candidates must comply with specified vaccinations as required by the facility. Floating to other areas is preferred but not mandatory. Experience with the Centricity and Meditech Magic systems is preferred. The nurse will care for adult patients during the shift.
