Medical Billing Specialist

We're BrightStar Care of Columbus, a locally owned, multi-payor home care agency that's served Franklin County families since 2008. Our billing operation is the engine behind quality care — and we're looking for someone who knows Ohio Medicaid inside and out to help keep it running clean. Why this role matters As a home care agency working across Medicaid, managed care, county levy programs, VA, and private pay, our billing has to be precise. You'll own the Medicaid side of a genuinely interesting multi-payor environment — the kind of billing work that keeps you sharp rather than doing the same claim type all day. What you\'ll do Process and submit Ohio Medicaid claims (skilled and non-skilled/HCBS) Bill and follow up across MCOs — Anthem, AmeriHealth Caritas, Molina, CareSource, and UnitedHealthcare Research denials, manage appeals, and keep aging under control Reconcile EVV visits to claims and resolve discrepancies Grow into our other payors (Franklin County Senior Options, VA, DODD, private pay) — we\'ll train you on those What we\'re looking for Ohio Medicaid billing experience is essential — it\'s the one thing we can\'t train. If you\'ve worked MCO portals, wrestled with claim adjudication, and know your way around EVV, you\'ll fit right in. The rest of our payor mix we\'re glad to teach the right person. #J-18808-Ljbffr
