WARD NORTH AMERICAN is one of the largest moving and warehousing companies in the U.S. We are hiring for Packers & Movers from $11 to $14 an hour, depending on experience. Benefits include paid weekly and hands-on training opportunity for advancement.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Assembles appropriate cartons for items to be packed.
• Wraps protective material around the item, and inserts into cartons, to prevent breakage and damage.
• Closes, seals and appropriately label cartons and record on inventory.
• Packs and crates special items in specialized containers for customers, to prevent breakage and damage.
• Maintains material count by carton type.

Qualifications to perform this job successfully include:

A professional, customer sensitive attitude is required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This is not an inside job employee will experience a lot of walking and potentially stairs, often outside.
