TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in McAllen, Texas, 78503!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 13:00-01:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS TNCC ENPC Must-Have: Proficiency in electronic medical record systems. Strong triage skills and efficiency in prioritizing patient care. Comfortable and proficient in managing patients of all ages. Description: The emergency department features 10 beds. The staff consists of 3 RNs, 1 radiologic technologist, and 1 physician. The staffing pattern includes 2 RNs on day shift, 1 RN on mid-shift, and 2 RNs on night shift. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Key procedures performed include splinting, moderate sedation, chest tube insertion, central line placement, arterial blood gas sampling, lumbar puncture, and nebulizer treatments. Candidates must demonstrate strong team dynamics. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. Experience in Level 1 and 2 trauma center settings is highly valued. The ability to assist in obstetric deliveries and familiarity with rapid sequence intubation techniques are advantageous. Teamwork in nursing is emphasized, and staff are expected to work every other weekend.
