Fabricator Welder II - 1st Shift

Description

Scott Manufacturing Solutions Inc. is looking for a Fabricator Welder II for our first shift who, under moderate supervision, operates arc and heliarc equipment to weld cabinets, frames, and small parts.

Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Check welding equipment for proper operation.
• Set up a job for welding.
• Obtain and position the clamps.
• Prepare welding wire for feeding.
• Level frame for welding, determine proper welding spots, types, and sizes, given stress requirements.
• Operate arc and heliarc welding equipment to weld cabinets and everything else that is required in a cabinet.
• Use wrenches, ratchets, grinders, and hand tools as needed.
• Service and maintain welding equipment.
• Clean and maintain the work area.
• Work primarily with other welders.
• Responsible for consistently meeting quality and production standards.
• May assist sheet metal, fabrication, grinding, and assembly work crews as needed.
• Must consistently and properly wear PPE.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Physical Requirements:
• Required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to lift up to 25+ lbs
