We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting in Independence, MO. This permanent, full-time day-shift position runs from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotating evenings and weekends every fourth weekend. The role offers $52.58–$70.55 per hour, with opportunities for new graduates and experienced hospital pharmacists, plus excellent benefits and potential sign-on and relocation assistance.

 

Responsibilities

• Interpret medication orders and enter them accurately into the pharmacy system.
• Compound and dispense medications safely and accurately.
• Monitor medication therapy for interactions, allergies, contraindications, and appropriate dosing.
• Recommend appropriate and cost-effective medication alternatives.
• Support formulary management and therapeutic interchange programs.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services, including pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation monitoring, renal dosing, IV-to-PO conversion, nutrition support, pain management, and drug information consultations.
• Document medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
• Assist with pharmacy operations and staff scheduling oversight.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy.

 

Required Qualifications

• BS Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• New graduates are welcome to apply; hospital pharmacy experience is not required.

 

Compensation & Benefits

• New Graduate Rate: $52.58/hr
• 1+ Year Experience: $54.92/hr minimum
• Mid-range: $66.98/hr
• Maximum: $70.55/hr
