Job Overview A law firm seeks a Patent Agent with a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering to join their Intellectual Property Team in Columbus, OH. This role offers a chance to work in a collaborative environment within a forward-thinking law firm. Duties Draft and prosecute patents, and conduct IP due diligence. Respond to office actions. Prepare, obtain, and analyze patent searches; assess patentability, prior art, non-infringement, and validity. Provide client counseling and manage portfolios. Engage in licensing activities. Demonstrate proven IP law firm experience. Exhibit superb writing and research skills. Requirements 3+ years of experience in a relevant field. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Registered to practice before the USPTO. Experience with software development preferred. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Certifications USPTO registration. Skills Strong academic record.
