IT Manager of Endpoint Management

Job Summary The State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services, Bureau of Information Technology Solutions, seeks an experienced IT Manager of Endpoint Management to lead enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and endpoint management operations for the Connecticut Department of Children and Families. Responsibilities Maintain secure, reliable, and efficient endpoint computing services across the enterprise. Administer, plan, and continuously improve the centralized Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), and Microsoft Intune mobile device management environments. Ensure workforce productivity, endpoint security compliance, and support for hybrid and remote work operations. Serve as on‑call Severity 1 Coordinator on a rotational basis. Collaborate with infrastructure, compute services, cybersecurity, service desk, and application support teams to maintain operational excellence and implement modern device management strategies. Position Highlights Monday‑Friday, full‑time (40 hours per week). First shift (8:00 AM‑5:00 PM with 1‑hour lunch). Location: 505 Hudson Street, Hartford, CT (hybrid position: telework and in‑office). Minimum Qualifications Ten (10) years of experience in computer or network administration, architecture, operations, production control, systems development, information technology analysis, and planning. Two (2) years of supervisory experience or one (1) year of managerial experience. College training in computer science, management information systems, or a closely related field may be substituted for up to four (4) years of experience. A Master’s degree may be substituted for one (1) additional year of experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience administering Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. Experience managing enterprise VDI for 5,000 + end users. Experience in technical process improvement or automation. Experience leading information technology modernization initiatives. Experience managing and developing staff.
