Head Coach — Performance Training & Team Leadership Full-Time Leadership Role Spanish Fork, Utah Base Salary Performance Incentives OVERVIEW D1 Training is seeking a high-level Head Coach to lead the training floor, develop coaches, and drive member results inside a high-performance training facility. This is not just a coaching role. This is a coach of coaches leadership position responsible for delivering elite training, building a strong coaching staff, and ensuring a best-in-class member experience. WHAT YOU’LL OWN Coaching & Athlete Experience Deliver high-energy group training and personal training sessions Serve as the face of the training experience inside the facility Ensure every session meets D1’s 5-star training standard Drive athlete results, engagement, and long-term retention Team Leadership & Development Hire, onboard, and develop a team of coaches Lead ongoing coach education, audits, and performance feedback Run team development sessions and programming reviews Build a deep bench of coaching talent for facility growth Programming & Product Execution Execute D1 programming with precision and consistency Ensure coaches are aligned on delivery standards and methodology Maintain class quality, structure, and flow across all sessions Member Retention & Experience Drive proactive and reactive retention efforts Execute low-usage calls, check-ins, and client health reviews Support onboarding cadence (7/30/60/90 day touchpoints) Build strong community culture inside the facility Facility Operations & Standards Ensure facility cleanliness, organization, and equipment upkeep Oversee class scheduling and staffing coverage Maintain a premium training environment aligned with brand standards Community & Growth Support grassroots marketing and community outreach Participate in events, team deals, and local partnerships Help drive referrals and organic lead generation KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) Member retention and attrition Workout frequency and utilization Personal training revenue and re-ups Revenue per member Referral volume Coach development and retention Class attendance and capacity utilization IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE Proven experience in strength & conditioning, group training, or sports performance Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team Strong communication, presence, and accountability Organized and disciplined with systems and follow-through Passion for athlete development and community building REQUIRED / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS CSCS, CPT, USAW, or equivalent certification preferred Experience coaching athletes and/or adult fitness clients Experience leading teams or mentoring coaches strongly preferred High energy, professional, and team-first mindset WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE A highly engaged coaching staff that is improving monthly Members who stay longer, train more often, and refer others A facility known for energy, culture, and results Consistent execution of the D1 product at a high level COMPENSATION & GROWTH Competitive base salary performance incentives Opportunity for advancement into multi-unit or leadership roles Ongoing education and development within the D1 system FINAL NOTE TO CANDIDATES If you’re looking for a role where you can lead, develop people, and impact a community through performance training, this is that opportunity.
