Join our team and help build engineering solutions that change the industry.The Shop Technician I works primarily in the shop disassembling, assembling and repairing frac valves.What you will do:Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all timesAssemble and break down, clean new or used equipment, inspect, repair and test grease and paint equipmentTroubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test frac valves based on customer communicationsRead and follow standard operating proceduresExecute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of the shop, work area, and equipmentPerform shipping and receiving responsibilitiesBe responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts to supervisor or senior technician as soon as practicableOperate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools and products that weigh up to 50 lbs.Maintain SPM Oil & Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policyMaintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all timesDemonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team settingFollow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidanceExhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all timesExhibit a high degree of integrity at all timesAdhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of ChangePerforms other duties as assignedWhat you will have:Three to six months of equivalent work experience or training with frac valvesCurrent or previous leadership experienceDemonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethicWorking knowledge of frac valvesPrevious experience with hand tools, power tools and air toolsPhysical Demands:Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hearRequired to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusMust be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the departmentWork Environment:Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particlesFrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditionsOccasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibrationNoise Level: ModerateAdditional Information:Work Schedule: 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role operates on a 10-day on/4-day off cycle. For example, you'll work 10 consecutive days starting on Tuesday (through the following Thursday) and then have 4 days off.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.Summary Pay Range: $19.85 - $26.55 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
