Quality Technician - 1st Shift

Summary:This role plays a key part in keeping food products safe, consistent, and ready for customers. Start times may vary on 2nd shift hours. The position offers hands-on lab work, regular production interaction, and the chance to support food safety standards every day. Hours: Monday - Friday 5:00am-2:30pm with occasional Saturdays Pay: $20/hr. plus a $3 shift premium for any hour worked between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, or a $2 shift premium for any hour worked between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

Responsibilities:Inspect raw materials, work in process items, and finished goods to confirm quality standards

Review production activities to ensure alignment with food safety and quality requirements

Document and report quality results, including any nonconforming findings

Track and communicate quality deviations to support timely resolution

Perform and record laboratory tests following approved procedures

Conduct routine line checks to verify product and process consistency

Support audits by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent

Previous quality control or quality assurance experience preferred

Ability to complete basic laboratory testing and written documentation

Understanding of food safety and quality guidelines

Willingness to work second shift with a varying start time
