Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, caring for patients across all age groups including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The RN should be skilled in assessing and managing emergency situations involving a variety of conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician's orders.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Support and educate patients and families regarding care processes.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Adapt to floating assignments as required within the facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department with some pediatrics experience.
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.
• Documented travel experience in nursing roles is required.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically EPIC.
• Drivers license with an address matching demographics is necessary.
