Supply Chain ConsultantSupply Chain Consultant is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with existing customers, as well as acquiring and developing larger accounts. This includes creating strategy and developing supply chain solutions to meet all customers' business needs. The ability to communicate and provide unmatched customer service is a must for this position.Supply Chain Consultant responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:Acquire and develop new businessCultivate relationships with existing customers to develop accounts to their fullest potentialCreate and drive a business plan strategy that successfully meets sales goalsMaintain a working knowledge of the company's specialty services, internal resources, competitive strategies, and customer requirementsPresent full range of services to existing and new customers, allowing yourself to build a complete logistics and supply chain solution for the customers business needsBuild strong customer relationships and understand trends that affect their business to creatively and strategically develop solutionsPrepare quotes for new and existing business partners to meet your monthly and quarterly goalsWork with the Capacity Procurement team to ensure loads are serviced to meet expectationsCommunicate frequently with the Capacity team and or carriers to ensure the shipper, consignee and customer are aware of any unexpected issuesConduct quarterly business reviews (QBR's) with existing customersConduct face to face meetings to build relationships and introduce additional servicesSupply Chain Consultant Qualification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:5+ years' working knowledge in logistics and transportation industry; including third-party full truckload logistics management, supply chain, tradeshow set-up, and final mileBachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent education plus work experienceStrong team-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and cultivate relationshipsAbility to thrive in a fast paced and complex environment while making timely decisions under pressurePrefer experience in all modes: dry van, expedited, flatbed, oversized loads, refrigerated, intermodal shipmentsPrevious freight management software experience; McLeod and Cargowise a plusMust be able to read, write and speak English fluently
