The Product Line Manager – APU is responsible for the strategy, growth, profitability, and operational performance of KP Aviation's Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) product line. This role manages the full lifecycle of APU assets including acquisition modeling, repair management, inventory optimization, valuation, sales, and market growth strategy. Your role will take you to new heights, as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:Develop and execute strategic plans for the APU product line to achieve revenue, inventory, and margin objectivesEvaluate and analyze APU opportunities including whole units, modules, piece parts, and repair eventsLead APU asset valuation, acquisition strategy, and buy package analysisCreate and maintain proformas, pricing models, and financial forecasts for APU inventory and transactionsPartner with Repairs and Technical teams to oversee APU repair events and return-to-service activityMonitor market trends, supply/demand conditions, and competitive intelligence related to APU assetsOwn sales plan and drive performance to AOPManage inventory movement, aging material strategies, and inventory optimization effortsBuild and maintain supplier, repair vendor, and customer relationshipsTrack product line KPIs including gross margin, inventory turns, and profitability metricsIdentify new opportunities for product line expansion and strategic growth initiativesOther duties as assignedTo succeed in this role, you will need to have:Deep understanding of APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) components, systems, and aftermarket lifecycle management (Specifically 737,747,767,A319/20/21,A330 &A350 platforms)Knowledge of aviation supply chain operations, including repair, overhaul (RO), and asset management strategiesStrong grasp of inventory planning, demand forecasting, and stocking strategies (1–2 year horizons)Familiarity with financial modeling, including margin analysis, ROI, and cost optimizationUnderstanding of go-to-market strategies, pricing frameworks, and competitive positioning in aviation aftermarketWorking knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements (FAA, EASA, trace, airworthiness)Experience with ERP/WMS/CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Oracle) and how they support product lifecycle executionKnowledge of market dynamics, OEM relationships, and supplier networks within APU or broader aerospace componentsStrong analytical and modeling skills—ability to turn demand signals into actionable stocking and acquisition strategiesAdvanced data analysis and decision-making (Excel, BI tools, SQL preferred)Ability to build and execute product line strategies across acquisition, pricing, and sales channelsSkilled in cross-functional leadership—aligning sales, operations, repair, and finance teamsStrong commercial acumen—pricing strategy, deal structuring, and revenue optimizationEffective communication and storytelling—able to translate data into clear business actionsProject management and prioritization across multiple initiatives and timelinesAbility to identify gaps and drive process improvements in asset management and product line executionSkilled at negotiation and vendor management for acquisitions and repair sourcingOwn end-to-end product line performance, from modeling demand to driving revenue outcomesBalance short-term sales opportunities with long-term asset strategyInterpret complex data sets and market signals to guide investment decisionsDrive accountability across teams to ensure execution of stocking and go-to-market plansIdentify underperforming inventory and take corrective action (repositioning, liquidation, reallocation)Develop forward-looking strategies aligned to proforma targets and multi-year planning horizonsAdapt quickly to changing market conditions, supply constraints, or demand shiftsChallenge existing processes and lead continuous improvement effortsAbility to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, moving seamlessly between high-level planning and day-to-day executionWe significantly value our employees and believe in compensating each with a substantial benefits and compensation package including:Generous Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Short-Term Disability coverage (Employer pays 100% of employee premiums)401(k) Plan with Employer ContributionProfit Sharing and Bonus opportunitiesVoluntary ancillary plans including Life Insurance, Accident and Hospital coveragePaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysEXPORT CONTROL REQUIREMENTS:This position must meet export control compliance requirements.
