RN Mother Infant

The Registered Nurse in Mother Infant care is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to postpartum couplets, postpartum patients, gynecological surgery patients, and low-risk antepartum patients. Key functions include patient assessments, IV therapy, blood draws, Foley catheter management, newborn assessments, and specialized newborn screenings. The role demands collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for both mother and infant. A minimum of 2 years of experience in mother infant nursing and proficiency with EPIC electronic health records are required. Responsibilities:

• Provide care for postpartum couplets, postpartum patients, gynecological surgery patients, and low-risk antepartum patients.
• Perform patient assessments including vital signs and clinical evaluations.
• Administer IV therapy and perform blood draws for mothers and newborns.
• Manage Foley catheter insertion, maintenance, and removal.
• Conduct newborn assessments including blood draws, 24-hour testing, hearing screening, glucose management, and Eat, Sleep, Console assessments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a mother infant nurse.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Strong clinical assessment and IV therapy skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

• Previous travel nursing experience.

• Night shift work with no on-call responsibilities.
• Weekend work required at least every third weekend.
• Holiday shifts assigned as needed.
• Work environment includes postpartum and newborn care units.

• 36 hours per week, scheduled as three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
