Sterile Processing Tech - Nights Full Time

Sterile Processing Technician – Providence Mission Hospital, Mission Viejo, CA. Full-Time, 8‑hour Night shifts. Under general supervision, performs surgical instrumentation and supplies through the sterilization process using the appropriate personal protective equipment, maintaining instruments in a clean, working condition and storing them according to the instrument directory. Performs and interprets data from daily sterilizer biological monitoring, instrument sterilization, and all associated documentation. Assists in training and orientation of new staff and is proficient in required competencies. Required Qualifications Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) Sterile processing experience. Preferred Qualifications High-Level Disinfection training in decontamination, processing, sterilization, quality control, and flexible scope reprocessing.
