Sterile Processing Tech – Evenings Full Time Job Description Sterile Processing Technician at Providence Mission‑Laguna Beach Hospital in Laguna Beach, CA. This position is Full‑Time and will work 8‑hour Evening shifts with Call rotation. Under general supervision processes surgical instrumentation and supplies throughout the sterilization process using the appropriate personal protective equipment according to procedure. Maintains instruments in a clean, working condition, and stores according to instrument directory. Performs and interprets data from daily sterilizer biological monitoring, instrument sterilization and all associated documentation. Assists in training and orientation of new staff. Possesses proficiency in required competencies. Required Qualifications Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution. Sterile processing experience. Preferred Qualifications Coursework/Training: High‑Level Disinfection: Training in decontamination, processing, sterilization, quality control, flexible scope reprocessing. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
