Asset Manager

Insight Global is supporting a client organization in the search for a Superintendent of Asset Management. This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the performance, maintenance, and lifecycle of physical assets across a large, complex operational environment. The Superintendent of Asset Management will lead the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of asset management practices, with primary responsibility for mechanical, electrical, and infrastructure assets across facilities, pump stations, and collection systems. This role blends technical expertise, data-driven decision making, and people leadership, while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, Safety, and Finance teams. This position plays a critical role in asset reliability, risk mitigation, capital planning, and long-term operational sustainability. Key Responsibilities Asset Management & Lifecycle Oversight Maintain, validate, and monitor a large enterprise-wide asset inventory, including equipment, machinery, and infrastructure. Manage full asset lifecycles from acquisition through disposal, including maintenance planning, upgrades, and replacements. Develop and maintain asset labeling and barcoding standards and ensure accurate master equipment listings. Performance & Risk Management Analyze asset performance data and conduct field inspections to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Assess asset failure risks and maintain a risk scoring and prioritization framework. Review and manage asset-related Management of Change (MOC) processes. Maintenance Strategy Lead preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to optimize asset reliability and lifespan. Oversee development and execution of maintenance SOPs and system workflows. Supervise the Preventive Maintenance team and support training and onboarding of new personnel. Data, Systems & Reporting Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to structure asset data using industry-standard methodologies. Generate metrics, dashboards, and reports to support budgeting, audits, and leadership decision-making. Collaborate with IT on system enhancements, integrations, and workflow improvements. Capital Planning & Cost Optimization Participate in capital expenditure planning, prioritizing asset replacements and upgrades based on condition, risk, and operational impact. Support long-term asset investment strategies through data-driven analysis. Compliance & Collaboration Ensure asset management practices comply with applicable regulations and industry standards. Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to support asset-related initiatives. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required. Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance best practices. Proficiency with CMMS platforms and enterprise systems (Oracle WAM or similar). Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, and dashboards (Power BI or similar). Working knowledge of SQL and database management concepts. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in asset management or a related field. Experience in utilities, industrial operations, or large-scale infrastructure environments preferred. At least 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience . #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight Global
