Base pay range $35.00/hr - $38.00/hr Swoon is partnering with a leading company in the heavy equipment industry to find a skilled Technical Business Systems Analyst for their Cary, NC office. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of working three days per week in the office and is initially a one-year contract with a high potential for extension or conversion based on performance. Here are the details: Location: Flexible hybrid in Cary, NC (3x per week in the office) Duration: Initial one-year contract with high potential to extend/convert Pay Rate: $35-38/hr W2 Job #: 61424-1 Position’s Contributions to Work Group : We are seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst to lead the translation of complex business requirements into technical solutions within our data analytics projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our data-driven initiatives align with segment and business unit objectives and are executed efficiently across cross-functional data domains and teams, including onshore, nearshore, and offshore collaborators. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical acumen and business insight, facilitating seamless integration of data solutions into our business processes. Typical task breakdown: Business Requirements Gathering & Analysis Engage with stakeholders across departments to identify and document business challenges that can be addressed through data analytics. Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing business processes to pinpoint areas for improvement and data integration. Develop detailed business cases and process models to support data-driven decision-making. Translation of Business Needs into Technical Specifications Convert business requirements into clear technical specifications, ensuring alignment with data architecture and governance standards. Collaborate with data engineering teams to design data models, ETL processes, and integration strategies that support analytics objectives. Define and document technical requirements, calculations, etc., for data products - datasets/data views, data visualizations. Cross-Functional & Global Team Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration. Coordinate with onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams, ensuring that project timelines and quality standards are met across all regions. Maintain alignment among globally distributed teams. Interaction with team : Working with Global teams, across various time zones and in India. Total of 10 folks on team and who they will working with directly. Highly visible project, working with peers and leadership. Education & Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree is a nice to have, not required. But must have at least 8+ years experience in this capacity. Bachelor’s degree must have minimum 5+ years experience. Master’s degree must have a minimum 5+ years experience. Technical Skills: (Required) Worked in the manufacturing industry but worked in Data Domains. They need to understand data analytics technology. 5+ years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on data analytics or business intelligence projects. Proven experience working with global teams, including offshore and nearshore collaborators. Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI). Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes (e.g., Snowflake) Soft Skills: (Required) Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and vice-versa. Ability to work with onshore, offshore and nearshore technical and business teams.
