Order Picker

This position requires a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual responsible for accurately locating, pulling, preparing, and staging inventory for customer orders and other operational needs.

The primary responsibility of the Order Picker is to pull products and associated components from warehouse inventory and prepare them for the next phase of order processing. This includes verifying products against picking documentation and inventory records, cleaning and preparing equipment, maintaining accurate product identification, and staging orders appropriately.

The Order Picker is also responsible for identifying and investigating inventory discrepancies, reporting product or order issues, auditing designated inventory locations, and supporting general inventory maintenance. Accuracy, organization, urgency, and effective communication are important to ensuring orders move efficiently through the fulfillment process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review picking tickets and order documentation to determine products required for customer orders.
• Locate, identify, and pull the correct products from warehouse inventory.
• Verify part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, and inventory locations against picking documentation and electronic inventory records.
• Pull associated hardware, accessories, peripherals, and other components required to complete orders.
• Locate replacement products when originally selected inventory is unavailable or cannot be used to fulfill an order.
• Pull and stage products or components temporarily required for testing or order preparation.
• Clean, label, organize, and prepare products for testing, refurbishment, painting, shipping, or other required processing.
• Maintain product identification and organization while staging orders for subsequent processing.
• Identify discrepancies involving products, serial numbers, quantities, inventory locations, labeling, or inventory records.
• Investigate routine inventory discrepancies by reviewing physical inventory, warehouse locations, product information, and electronic records.
• Report inventory discrepancies, missing products, damaged or non-conforming products, and other issues that may affect order completion.
• Perform authorized inventory transactions and record updates as required to maintain accurate product and location information.
• Audit designated inventory, work-in-process, and disposition locations to verify physical products against electronic inventory records.
• Return products to appropriate inventory locations following testing, order processing, or other operational activities.
• Organize and consolidate inventory locations to maintain accurate, accessible, and orderly stock.
• Pull and prepare products for quotations, online sales, bulk sales, and other sales opportunities as assigned.
• Prepare quote or sales products by cleaning, weighing, measuring, staging, and photographing equipment as required.
• Move products between warehouse locations, workstations, and staging areas using appropriate material-handling equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe picking, inventory, and staging areas.
• Operate pallet jacks, carts, ladders, scanners, label printers, and other authorized warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Provide backup support for other warehouse and Operations functions as trained and assigned.
• Adhere to company safety policies, quality standards, inventory procedures, and operational requirements.
• Perform other warehouse, inventory, and order fulfillment duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

• Experience working in a warehouse, order picking, inventory, fulfillment, or related environment is required.
• Experience using an ERP, warehouse management system, inventory management system, or similar application is preferred.
• Experience with order picking, stock management, cycle counting, or inventory auditing is preferred.
• Experience working with serialized inventory is preferred.
• Experience using scanners, label printers, computers, and related warehouse equipment is preferred.
• Experience working with technical or electronic equipment is preferred.
