Job Summary:
A Medical-Surgical and Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/T RN) position is available in the Nights shift at a healthcare facility located in Towson, Maryland. This role involves providing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations, with a focus on general medicine, oncology, orthopedics, and cardiac telemetry. Candidates are required to bring their Maryland nursing license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, and a minimum of 2 years of related clinical experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic medical record system; previous hospital, telemetry, or Med Surg experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within the specialty and lower acuity as needed.
- Additional Information: The role involves managing cardiac and vascular access devices, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and providing specialized care such as wound management, tracheostomy care, and managing various drips and ventilatory support. Candidates must be comfortable with procedures such as managing ports, PICC lines, chest tubes, and ventilators. Flexibility to work weekends and scheduled holidays as needed.
