Assistant Branch Manager Reports to: Branch Manager Salary: NE16 $40,000 – $55,000 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt | Supervisory Role: Yes About The Assistant Branch Manager Role We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Branch Manager to support our Branch Manager in orchestrating the seamless operation of our branch, fostering a trusted environment, and elevating the customer experience. The role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the branch functions with efficiency, security, and warmth. Experience in residential mortgages, IRA services, and personal banking products is essential. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Step into the Branch Manager’s shoes during their absence, manage staff, and maintain smooth day‑to‑day operations. Team Supervision: Oversee Head Teller and Teller teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Branch Branding & Growth: Build a strong branch identity, promote sales initiatives, and champion exceptional customer service. Customer Engagement: Connect personally with clients and prospects, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure satisfaction aligns with high standards. Compliance & Accuracy: Review and approve transactions such as large check cashing, bank checks, and ledger entries, while maintaining strict adherence to policies. Performance & Standards: Strive to meet and exceed branch performance metrics, focusing on operational controls, security, and regulatory compliance. Professional Development: Continually enhance banking acumen and sales techniques through training, workshops, and ongoing education. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Proven supervisory and leadership experience Strong customer service background Cash handling expertise Excellent verbal communication skills Fluent in English; bilingual a plus Access to reliable transportation Well‑organized and adept at managing multiple priorities Team‑oriented with the ability to thrive in collaborative environments Ability to lift 10–20 lbs., stand for extended periods. Preferred Bachelor’s degree.
