Qualifications Current Physical Therapy Assistant License in State of California or eligible Current American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from The American Heart Association or The American Red Cross Job Summary Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, a Physical Therapy Assistant provides physical therapy services to persons in various stages of rehabilitation, utilizing tests and measurements, techniques of exercise, and properties of heat, light, sound, electricity, water, and massage. Duties Supports the goals, objectives, and policies of Oroville Hospital and Department of Physical Therapy Responsible for assisting with Quality Assurance programs Promotes and maintains professionalism within the Department, Hospital and community Treats patients under a Physical Therapist’s supervision Maintains appropriate treatment records: treatment plan; short and long term goals; procedural documentation; timely progress notes Participates in in-services and continuing education seminars Attends and participates in department staff meetings Establishes communication with patient’s physician and other related disciplines Responsible for rotated weekend and holiday coverage Maintains a safe and clean environment for peers and patients Performs other duties as assigned Lifting Requirements Medium – not more than 50 lbs. mandatory lifting, with frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
