ER Registered Nurse

Hopedale Medical Complex seeks an ER Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care in our rural critical access hospital. You will triage and stabilize patients of all ages, administer medications and treatments, perform IV starts and EKGs, and collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. The role includes patient and family education, accurate documentation, and participation in quality and safety initiatives within a close-knit, community-focused environment that values integrity and long-term relationships. Responsibilities Triage, assess, and monitor ER patients of all ages in a critical access setting Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders and protocols Perform procedures such as IV starts, EKGs, wound care, and splinting Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EHRRespond to emergencies and participate in resuscitation and stabilization efforts Follow infection control, safety, and quality standards in the ER Support smooth patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges Participate in ongoing training, drills, and performance improvement initiatives Required Skills Emergency nursing Patient triage IV insertion and management Medication administration Cardiac monitoring/EKG Wound care and splinting Electronic health records (EHR) Patient and family education ACLS protocols Pediatric emergency basics #J-18808-Ljbffr Hopedale Medical Complex
