Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations to comprehend clients' psychological issues and create tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and couples therapy sessions, using varied therapeutic approaches to promote growth, understanding, and healing.
• Establish and monitor therapeutic goals collaboratively, ensuring that client progress is tracked and interventions are adjusted accordingly.
• Provide teletherapy services, ensuring convenience for clients facing mobility challenges or those who prefer virtual engagement.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation to uphold ethical standards and comply with local regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Couples Compass Counseling, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and other mental health issues. Your role will be crucial in fostering a safe space for clients to explore their concerns and facilitating effective resolutions through therapeutic strategies.

Qualifications

• An active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.
• A compassionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental demeanor when engaging with clients' diverse experiences.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively manage a caseload and administrative duties.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a private practice setting with a focus on family therapy preferred.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapies and modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), or Solution-Focused Therapy.
• Expertise in treating mental health conditions, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use issues.
