Bring your expertise and passion for special education to a rewarding contract role supporting students in a dynamic onsite school environment. Two positions are available, working with elementary and PreK learners in self-contained classrooms, each with para support. The assignment extends through late May 2027, offering stability and the chance to build lasting connections.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching certification, or eligibility for emergency/pending certification
• Open to candidates enrolled in Teachers of America or ITeach programs
• Previous experience teaching special education or working with students with autism (preferred, but not required)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to creating inclusive, positive classroom environments
• Comfort working onsite and in a school-based setting

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to K-2 elementary autism students or PreK students in self-contained classrooms
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals for instructional and behavioral support
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs and goals
• Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Communicate regularly with families, related service providers, and school staff
• Participate in team meetings, staff development, and ongoing training opportunities
