Controls Engineering Manager - Onsite

We are seeking a Controls Engineering Managerfor our El Dorado Hills, California facility. In this role, you will manage a team of supervisors and employees, leading in the areas of projects, CAD vendor management, and work methodologies. You will coach, manage, evaluate, and lead the team of engineers. You will drive and participate in the resolution of technical, resource, and scheduling issues that may arise during Engineering projects, and collaborate with various teams and departments.This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time.Responsibilities: Manages supervisors and employees, applying operational or strategic management skillsManagement responsibilities include performance appraisals, pay reviews, training and developmentProvides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or clientsCollaborates with the Engineering leads to develop and establish work methodologies for the creation and documentation of new designs and the modification of existing designs. Collaborates with the Engineering Technician & Machine Shop group to tailor Engineering work methodologies for best support of equipment assembly processesCollaborates with the Engineering leads to identify CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools and other equipment that best serve the mission of the groupIdentifies and resolves technical, operational, and organizational problemsDrives and participates in the resolution of technical, resource, and scheduling issues that may arise during an Engineering projectIs responsible for the business relationship with CAD companies and drives the support and maintenance agreements with themCollaborates with Engineering management and Engineering rank & file associates to develop, implement, review, and improve Project Management methodologies used by the Engineering groupFor new projects, collaborates with Engineering management and Engineering leads to specify a project’s technical requirements as well as scope, timeline, and resourcesReviews the goals and accomplishments of engineers. Evaluates if engineers are consistently following established methodologies and sets goals for improvementQualifications:Bachelors degree in any engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, or software)Minimum of 3-5 years’ management experience across multiple engineering disciplinesStrong leadership and verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated commitment to safe work practicesThe salary range for this position is $160,000 - $190,000 annual base. Eligible for annual bonus.
