Sr. Electrical EngineerWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design, development, documentation, and testing of factory automation systems. This role involves integrating a wide range of industrial components and machinery, from PLC-based control systems to Ethernet communications, robotics, and power distribution. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in industrial automation, electrical system integration, and cross-functional collaboration. This role supports projects from concept through assembly and troubleshooting and contributes to continuous improvement of engineering tools and processes. This is a 100% onsite role in El Dorado Hills, CA.What We Are Looking For:Hands-on senior electrical engineer with factory automation expertiseStrong collaborator across engineering, management, and production teamsAbility to design safe, reliable, and cost-effective electrical systemsStrong troubleshooting mindset with attention to detailComfortable working across multiple projects in parallelKey Responsibilities:Electrical Design & EngineeringDesign and schematically capture all electrical circuits for new and modified factory automation systemsDesign electrical panels, enclosures, and cabling using approved CAD toolsProduce complete assembly and build documentationSelect and integrate PLC components per company standardsPLC & Controls IntegrationCollaborate with software teams on PLC programming, including foundational functions and diagnosticsSupport integration of PLC-based control systems into new electrical designsEnsure compliance with safety and operational standardsCross-Functional Collaboration & SupportWork with mechanical, software, and production teams to troubleshoot and debug systemsSupport and advise technicians during system assemblyProvide technical support and training to staffProcess Improvement & Vendor ManagementParticipate in continuous improvement of design tools and processesResearch and evaluate new CAD tools and diagnostic equipmentEstablish and maintain vendor relationships for electrical components and servicesStay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field4+ years of experience in factory automation or industrial system integrationStrong PLC system design experienceProficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, SolidWorks, or Autodesk InventorStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple projects concurrently
