What You’ll Do:

Draw high-quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established safety and accuracy protocols.

Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.

Create a trusting and professional atmosphere by explaining procedures clearly to patients and addressing their concerns with empathy.

Maintain meticulous records of collections and procedures, ensuring documentation accuracy and confidentiality.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold process excellence.

Follow safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors by contributing positively to the team, maintaining a professional demeanor, and supporting process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 12 months of hands-on phlebotomy experience, with proficiency in collecting blood specimens from diverse patient populations.

Strong understanding of venipuncture techniques, including pediatric and geriatric draws.

Excellent customer service and communication skills to foster patient trust and confidence.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.

Keyboarding and data entry experience, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Flexibility to work scheduled shifts Tuesday through Saturday, including early mornings, with availability for weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Valid phlebotomy certification (required in certain states like California, Nevada, and Washington).

High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.

Nice to Have:

Experience working in a retail or service environment, emphasizing customer care.

Additional certifications related to medical assisting or clinical procedures.

Knowledge of laboratory information systems and electronic health records.

Preferred Education and Experience:

At least one year of professional phlebotomy experience.

Prior customer service experience in a healthcare or retail setting.

Familiarity with pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy techniques.

Other Requirements:

Reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival and punctuality; candidates should reside within 20-25 minutes of the worksite.

Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and potential overtime.

Professional appearance and conduct at all times.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods, perform venipuncture, and handle specimens safely.

Tardiness and absenteeism are strictly monitored and can impact employment.
