You’ll play a key role in our general dental assisting workflow while also helping support Invisalign treatment, including scans and patient support as needed. Responsibilities:

• Assist the general dentist chairside during restorative, preventive, and general dental procedures
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments following infection control protocols
• Take dental X-rays, intraoral photos, and maintain accurate patient charting and records
• Provide excellent patient communication and help create a welcoming patient experience
• Support daily clinical workflow in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of operatories and clinical areas
• Assist with patient flow, seating patients, and reviewing treatment plans/post-operative instructions
• Support the Invisalign workflow as needed, including iTero scans, attachments, tray delivery, and patient education (training provided)
• Monitor and track general dentistry cases

Experience:

• Dental assisting experience preferred (minimum 3 years)
• Prior experience working in a dental office with strong familiarity in dental assisting duties
• X-ray certification required (per Florida regulations)
• Proficiency with Open Dental software, for charting, and maintaining accurate patient records
• Hands-on experience with dental X-rays, medical imaging technology, and 3D scanning systems (iTero/Invisalign experience is a plus; training provided if needed)
• Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and proper handling of patient records and documentation
• Solid understanding of dental terminology, dental anatomy, and procedures related to general dentistry and orthodontics, including Invisalign workflows
• Ability to support chairside assisting in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
