About the Position

Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Active Ohio RN license Certifications: BCLS and IV certification Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred, strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills Description: Start and manage IVs. Administer medications safely. Monitor vital signs and patient responses. Educate patients on treatments and self-care. Collaborate with the care team on patient plans. Use EMR for charting. Float to lower acuity units if needed. Follow hospital policies and maintain patient safety. Travel experience is a plus. Unit Details: Patient ratios during days and nights are 4:1. Floats may be required to different units as needed. Weekend coverage requires 3-4 weekend shifts per month. The unit is focused on providing medical-surgical care with various patient diagnoses. Special procedures performed include IV management and bedside procedures. Interdisciplinary support is available for comprehensive patient care. Daily census is approximately 23 patients. The unit has a mix of adult and geriatric patients. Two professional references are required for submission, one being from a manager or supervisor.
