About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour / Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of MedSurg experience required Previous travel experience preferred Patient ratio experience required License: Valid compact or state nursing license in hand at time of submission Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: IV start experience Telemetry experience required Description: Position requires weekend and rotating holiday coverage. Nurses are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Estimated patient ratios are 1:3. Proficient use of Epic charting system is required. Nurse should have skills in accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration. Management of dysrhythmias and cardiac telemetry experience is vital. Nurses must be familiar with heparin and insulin drips, as well as wound care. Special equipment may include ergonomic equipment, bladder scanner, and EKG. Candidates should be prepared for a strict compliance deadline prior to the start of the position. Two professional references are required, one from a supervisor or manager. No co-worker references will be accepted.
