The role includes patient care for individuals receiving treatment for various cancers, including chemotherapy administration. Continuous cardiac monitoring is required for patients undergoing such treatments. Symptom management related to disease progression or treatment is also a focus. Management of comorbidities and adherence to infection prevention protocols is essential. Experience with specific equipment such as telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, and Alaris pumps is necessary. Candidates should have the skills to interpret dysrhythmias, manage central and peripheral lines, and administer blood products. Assistance with procedures, such as chest tube insertion and removal, is expected. Candidates will be responsible for managing and caring for adult and geriatric patients, often requiring teamwork with interdisciplinary support services. Reference to patient demographics reveals common conditions such as breast, lung, and prostate cancers, among others. Robust experience in symptom management and infection control is critical for success in this role. This position will require adaptability to changing staffing needs and patient care demands. Candidates must comply with fingerprinting and credentialing processes. Clinical experience and current competency in acute care settings is mandatory.
