Job TitleAI Software Engineer Team LeadBanesco USA is seeking an AI Software Engineer Team Lead for our IT Department in Miami.Primary Job DutiesDesign, develop, and deploy AI-driven software applications to automate and optimize complex banking workflows and internal processes.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices in software engineering.Collaborate with process analysts, product owners, and internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions that provide a competitive advantage.Reinforce best practices for agile development, DevOps, and AIOps including sprint planning, CI/CD, AI evaluations / benchmarking, and robust observability / monitoring.Complete all assigned annual training programs to stay current with technology trends and banking regulations.Perform other functions and/or duties as assigned by the Automation Team Lead or VP, BI & Automation Manager.Job requirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Banking Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred, with specific exposure to core banking systems (e.g., Jack Henry & Associates) and compliance regulations.Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience managing a team of developers or in a Supervisory role.Mid-to-senior level experience in software engineering, ideally with a focus on AI applications and custom software product development.Proven track record of technical leadership and the ability to mentor junior team members.Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and R&D-focused engineering practices.3-5+ years of professional working experience with Python, Google Cloud, SQLExperience with Vertex AI, Gemini models/APIs, or AI orchestration framework.
