Position Overview Common Ground is seeking a Mobile Crisis Clinician to be part of the Oakland Collaborative Crisis Response (OCCR) team. This role will work from the Bingham Farms location to serve Oakland County. As a member of the OCCR team, the Mobile Crisis Clinician partners with Crisis Support Specialists, responding in‑person to crisis calls that cannot be resolved through the Resource & Crisis Hub via phone. The clinician utilizes best practices in crisis intervention for behavioral health (mental health and substance use), providing crisis counseling, short‑term treatment, and follow‑up services until the client is connected to ongoing care. The team serves children, adolescents, adults, seniors, families, schools, neighborhoods, organizations and businesses, offering up to 30 days of in‑home crisis counseling to facilitate immediate stabilization of emotions and behavior. Current Opportunities Full‑time, 36 hours per week: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Full‑time, 36 hours per week: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Full‑time, 36 hours per week: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 p.m. – 8 a.m. Compensation Limited Master‑Level License: $31.00 – $34.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differential. Full Master‑Level License: $34.00 – $39.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differential. Key Responsibilities Drive agency or personal vehicle to community locations to respond to crisis calls. Maintain a reliable personal vehicle for shifts and community travel. Respond swiftly to crisis calls using GPS to navigate and meet program response times. Conduct curbside safety assessments to identify risks and safety concerns, including self‑harm or harm to others. Arrange or provide transportation to designated locations when appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all interventions, assessments, and interactions using strong typing skills. Submit all electronic or hard copy documents that are complete, accurate, and signed prior to end of shift. Use Crisis Theory to provide short‑term interventions that facilitate immediate stabilization of emotions and behavior. Provide active, trauma‑informed, brief, solution‑focused crisis intervention to adults and children in distress. Collaborate with individuals, families, and support systems to develop safety plans and coping strategies for future crises. Educate and assist significant others and family members with the petitioning process, as needed. Complete mobile assessments of crisis situations and person/family needs. Collaborate with local mental health agencies, hospitals, law enforcement, and other community resources to facilitate referrals and follow‑up care. Advocate for the needs and rights of every person and family, including service providers and community agencies. Comply with federal, state, county, and agency regulations governing Intensive Crisis Stabilization and specialty services. Provide first aid and emergency procedures, as needed. Qualifications Education Master's degree in the Human Service field. Licensure Active, unrestricted Michigan clinical license (e.g., LLMSW, LCSW/LMSW, LLPC, LPC, MLP) required. All Limited License Master Social Workers (LLMSW), Limited License Professional Counselors (LLPC), and Temporary Limited License Psychologists (TLLP) must obtain their permanent license (LMSW, LPC, LLP) within 5 years from the issue date of the original limited/temporary license. Experience Minimum of one (1) year experience working with people with mental health, substance use, and/or developmental disabilities, including children, adolescents, and families. Experience in crisis intervention or emergency mental health services. Experience with a broad range of age groups and disabilities, including children. Experience working with persons with co‑occurring mental illness and substance use disorder. Mobile crisis response experience strongly preferred. Certifications Valid Michigan driver's license with a clean driving record. Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) per the State of Michigan. Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) per the State of Michigan. Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) per the State of Michigan.
