Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by APTA.
• Active Florida physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Experience working in inpatient rehab or hospital-based rehabilitation preferred.
• Familiarity with Meditech (Expanse) documentation system preferred.
• Ability to perform patient evaluations, ADLs, transfers, gait training, therapeutic exercise, functional training, and provide family/patient education.
• Comfort working in a unit with typical IPR gym equipment including balance and gait systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced hospital environment preferred.
• Experience with inpatient patient ratios around 7:1 preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0800-1700.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
• Weekend rotation and call requirements as part of unit staffing.
• Unit: Inpatient rehabilitation, approximately 30 beds and a clinical team including PT/OT/SLP/tech staff.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide evaluations and evidence-based interventions to support functional recovery in an inpatient rehab setting. Contribute to a multidisciplinary team focused on patient-centered outcomes. Maintain documentation in Meditech (Expanse) and participate in unit education and family training efforts.
