Staff Accountant

Location: Miami, FL
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing team in Miami. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong emphasis on revenue accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a solid accounting background, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze revenue entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Monitor revenue transactions to ensure accuracy and proper recognition.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
- Analyze revenue trends and variances, providing explanations for fluctuations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with audits and provide requested financial information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to revenue accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Miami, FL.
