CDL Equipment Operator (Traveling)

Equipment Operator Primary Location: Midwest Employment Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt Traveling position that includes per diem and full benefits. Job Summary The Equipment Operator will operate heavy machinery for underground utilities construction or excavation projects in a safe manner, avoiding utilities and other obstacles. An active CDL class A is required. Job Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures. Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers. Responsible for regular maintenance and care of the assigned heavy equipment, produce any documentation needed for each job, daily communication with managers is a must. Loads and hauls the machine. Drives, sets up, and breaks down safely and efficiently. Operates heavy equipment near active utilities. Have knowledge of shoring systems and how to use them. Rigging and setting of structures. Along with operating must be willing to assist in other activities such as but not limited to. Placement of conduit in open trenches. Proofing conduits. Potholing existing utilities.
