Tax and Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax and Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax preparation, compliance, and financial reporting. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations, as well as maintaining compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Ensure compliance with all tax laws, regulations, and deadlines.
• Conduct tax research to identify potential tax savings and optimize tax strategies.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Provide guidance and support to internal teams on tax-related matters.

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation software (e.g., QuickBooks, TurboTax).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Knowledge of international tax laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with auditing processes and procedures.
