Mongo Database Administrator

DescriptionWe are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented MongoDB Admin to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career.This position is hybrid and will require 1-2 days/week onsite in Ashburn, Virginia. Duties and Responsibilities: Work with dev teams and dev-ops teams to set up and manage MongoDB Clusters.Work with MongoDB professional services to architect optimal solutions for various projects.Work with MongoDB support through ticketing system to solve complex problems.Work with dev-ops to manage Cloud Resources like EC2, EBS, NFS etc.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 10 years of Unix Administration and/or RDBMS administration. Additional experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.1 year of MongoDB Administration, either Enterprise Advanced or Community Edition.Good understanding of MongoDB Sharding concepts and skills to provide optimal configs.Experience managing Cloud resources for running MongoDB Clusters.Ability to write MongoDB queries including aggregates.Experience with various data back-up and restore methodologies.Understanding of MongoDB security and user management.Desired Qualifications:Experience managing multi-cluster MongoDB environment with Ops Manager or Cloud manager.Experience with MongoDB Atlas.Experience with MongoDB tools like Relational Migrator, Cluster-to-Cluster sync etc.Good Understanding of Kubernetes and Operators.Experience with MongoDB Operator.RDBMS administration and ability to analyze and improve performance of SQL queries.Experience setting up LDAP and single sign-on for database systems.Customer Requirements:Clearance – Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background InvestigationCitizenship – Must be a US CitizenLocation – Hybrid with on-site (Kingstowne, VA and/or Ashburn, VA) visits 2 days a week.Job Field: Information TechnologyTravel: No
